Love Love Love the food here....! Only 4 on atmosphere because the mall is pretty boring looking. But during lunch and supper there is a decent line for hot rice. This place has stood it's ground for sure. Everyone else just couldn't make it. People have tried but Hot Rice comes out on top. Love how they have card reader now as well. Because there were times in the past I really wanted it but didn't have cash on me. Now it's so easy. The portions are fantastic. The large is good enough for 2 or 1 pending on how hungry you are. And these are one of the places that after a good fire or a few drinks I'll pull out the leftovers and eat hot or cold. It's soo good

Under 6. General Tso. Not sickly sweet. Super good. Go in the back (movie theater) door. It's in the food court of the nearly dead mall. Cash only.

I have loved going to Hot Rice since I was a teenager and now so do my kids. The sesame chicken is always so good, it's my favorite. My son gets the broccoli chicken lo mein and they make it fresh. It's always good! The egg rolls are delicious. Definitely our favorite takeout spot in Defiance. The server is quiet, but very efficient.

I’m from out of town and got a hotel in the area to spend a day. I was craving Asian food and this looked the best. The Vietnamese lady helping me was great and generous. She was kind and helped with my questions. She gives a very fair serving of food. I was very satisfied with the serving they gave. I got the combo three and the box was packed! They let my try one of their dishes for free! And their dishes are delish. The orange chicken is as good as you can expect, better even. Jalapeno chicken, if you can handle it, has the perfect kick of spice. And their vegetable dish was good also. Some bites were a bit salty, although not many. Other than that, everything tasted fresh and was cooked nicely. Overall: 10/10

It's a tiny place, but I've been getting it ever since I can remember. The people are always very polite. I've seen people say it's dirty, but it isn't. It's just a tiny "you get what you get," place. I've been craving it especially hard the last few weeks. Was thrilled to find it was still open when I moved back this way.
